Overview

Loneliness is an epidemic – and with cuts in funding to our Elderfriends befriending scheme, the problem is only likely to get worse.

So, what can we do about it? How about swimming! How about joining us at The Queens Park Leisure Centre in Chesterfield on June 6th for our very first ‘Swim Against Loneliness’.
We are looking for eager swimmers who can help us raise as much money as possible through sponsorship.  There is no minimum number of lengths but we envisage most people will swim between 20 and 100 lengths.
You can visit the website at www.swimagainstloneliness.online and from there you can register to join the band of swimmers or you can sponsor someone else or simply give a donation.
