This is an opportunity to support family carers within their local communities to feel confident and able to access support, pursue interests and to reduce isolation or the risk of falling victim to crime/fraud. This may be supporting a person to attend a new group or to simply enjoying a coffee and a meaningful conversation outside their home and usual caring role. Note: This is a face to face support role.

We are looking for individuals with a friendly and approachable personality. Volunteers will need good communication skills, patience, a positive outlook/ability to motivate and confidence working in the community.

Practical considerations:
Access to transport may be requires if you want to work outside your local area. (mileage expenses will be paid)
This role includes lone working so you will need to be able to follow a risk assessment and lone working procedures.
Two references and a DBS check are required.
